Ghost Recon Breakpoint’s Open Beta Adds PvP and More Features
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint received a closed beta to people who pre-ordered but Ubisoft is offering an open beta for gamers to try out the successor to Wildlands. The open beta includes new content that wasn’t in the closed beta including the Ghost War PvP mode, two new regions and three new missions for Mercenaries to work their way through. The Ghost Recon Breakpoint open beta starts on September 24th on PC through uPlay or Epic Games Store, PS4 and Xbox One while the game officially releases on October 4th.
The three new missions featured in the updated open beta continues to focus on the main storyline which gives games a better idea of what to expect from the story as they experience the gameplay going from mission to mission. We considered the closed beta quite fun but overall unremarkable and we’re hoping the open beta fixes what issues we noticed. Ubsioft adds two new regions to the existing four regions, the new ones are called New Argyll and Infinity. Eight Faction Missions were available during the closed beta but the open beta adds another 4 daily faction missions, giving gamers new things to do each day.
Ghost War is a competitive elimination 4v4 PvP mode which will be played across 4 tailored multiplayer maps: The PMC Camp, Port, Cold War Bunker and Harbor. We’re looking forward to checking out these PvP maps as well as New Argyll and Infinity as we hope the new regions offer more aspects of survival that were pitched during the announcement.
