The Voice of Nathan Drake Can’t Wait for The Last of Us HBO Series
According to Nolan North, the voice actor behind Nathan Drake, he’s more excited for The Last of Us HBO series than the upcoming Uncharted movie. The Uncharted movie has gone through many creative changes since its inception but The Last of Us TV series was recently announced by HBO, giving PlayStation fans another project to look forward to. Nolan North voiced Nathan Drake throughout all of the Naughty Dog series and although he’s clearly enthusiastic about the franchise, he may be a true Naughty Dog fanboy. The Last of Us Part II will be releasing exclusively for the PS4 on June 19th.
“I think the fact that they are going to make it (The Last of Us) a series, is way better than making a movie,” said Nolan North. “I think it’s astounding. And having the guy (Craig Mazin) who did Chernobyl is the elephant in the room you need to get things done. I think it’s excited. I’m more excited about that, I gotta be honest, than I am an Uncharted movie, because I love Mark Wahlberg, but I don’t see him as Sully. I just don’t see that as Sully.”
While we aren’t sure what to expect from The Last of Us HBO series, we’re somewhat aware of the plot of The Last of Us Part II due to some recent leaks. Nolan North has been an industry figure for years and he may have a Naughty Dog bias, but we’re looking forward to both Sony projects. Tom Holland will be playing a younger Nathan Drake in the upcoming cinematic release that will be releasing in 2021.
