Ultra Age’s third person action gameplay is fun and tight. It’s very Devil May Cry, with its giant sword swinging, but instead of guns, Age has something close to Scorpion’s “get over here” rope from Mortal Kombat.

I wanted to like this game so much, but the more I played, the more flaws I found, until I eventually realized that Arietta essentially starts on a high, and left me saying “This is it?”.
Fuga: Melodies Of Steel, from developer CyberConnect2, is an RPG where strategy is key. Under preparation means frustration and overpreparation means a clean sweep. Have fun finding the happy medium.
The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, from Capcom, complete with 2 different Ace Attorney games, is not only fun but of fantastic value.
Cotton Reboot! is a fantastic re-release of Cotton: Fantastic Night Dreams. And it is a remake of the Sharp X68000 version, which was the best port of the arcade version and had added bosses, remixed enemies, and updated graphics.
Risk System, from Newt Industries, is a short and sweet horizontal shoot ‘em up that uses its unique risk and reward system to drive its gameplay and story.
Team Salvato has created a very unique experience with Doki Doki Literature Club and this new Plus version offers even more content.
What’s much more important is that the framerate is solid, and the game plays smooth. It works just as well in portable mode, so if you’d like an on-the-go version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, you’ll be happy to know that the Switch version is as great as one could hope for.
Team Ninja should’ve called this the “Ninja Gaiden Sigma HD Trilogy” because that better explains what you’ll find within. Come read about this good – albeit incomplete – Ninja Gaiden collection.
