Terminator: Resistance Based on James Cameron Films

Terminator: Resistance is an FPS That Introduces New Characters to the Series

Terminator: Resistance will take place 31 years after T2: Judgement Day, ignoring other sequels to focus on the James Cameron T-800 originals. Polish studio Teyon who previously worked on Rambo: The Video Game will be making Resistance a first-person shooter as gamers join the resistance against Skynet. Terminator: Resistance will release on Xbox One, PS4 and PC on November 15th and December 3rd in North America.

Terminator: Resistance

The new hero Terminator: Resistance focuses on is a soldier in the Resistance Pacific Division known as Jacob Rivers who’s being targeted for termination by Skynet. Apparently gamers will eventually experience the decisive final battle in the war between humanity and machines which is something Terminator fans are surely anticipating after this announcement. Endings vary as gamers can change the fate of mankind by protecting a crew of other survivors with their own backstories and motivations. The world of Terminator: Resistance is unforgiving as gamers will have to scrap together parts for crafting or trade to maintain and collect an arsenal of weapons, many of which have been seen in the Terminator films.

The enemies on the battlefield of Terminator: Resistance are mostly familiar to the Terminator franchise but will include some brand new adversaries who will likely become iconic in their own right. RPG elements are included in this FPS as you choose skills to level up while exploring the post-apocalyptic Los Angeles. While leveling, there are side quests for gamers to do, similar to RPG’s and as gamers level up, Jacob Rivers will rise in the ranks of the Resistance which gives a more tangible look at player progression.
