Project Resistance Gameplay Revealed; Closed Beta Coming in October

Project Resistance Pits Four Players Against One Deadly Mastermind

Project Resistance is a Resident Evil co-op shooter about a group of four survivors trying to escape an Umbrella facility while a single player, called “The Mastermind”, tries to kill the survivors.

The four survivors, Samuel, January, Valerie, and Tyrone, each have a unique skill (such as January’s ability to hack turrets to shut them down). They’ll have to use these abilities and work together in order to accomplish objectives for each level before the level’s timer reaches zero.

Meanwhile, The Mastermind must thwart the survivors by creating traps, spawning iconic Resident Evil monsters, and using turrets that have cameras. They can also take control of enemies such as the infamous trenchcoat enthusiast (and walking bioweapon) Mr. X.

According to a press release, an early access version of Project Resistance can be played at TGS 2019 and the registration period for a closed beta on PS4 and Xbox One lasts from September 11th to September 18th. However, only Xbox Insider Program members and Resident Evil Ambassadors on PS4 have a chance to join the closed beta. The closed beta itself is scheduled from October 4th to October 7th.
