Both are wholly worth your time and demonstrate the best of the JRPG genres.
On another note, we chose Animal Crossing: New Horizons for its great gameplay and impeccable timing that matched the needs of the world perfectly when it first released, and for its consistent rollout of content. We also consider Ori and the Will of the Wisps, DOOM Eternal and the intriguing game-creation game Dreams to be solid contenders for the Top 10 Best Games of 2020.
The title we’ve locked into our Number One spot for the Best Game of 2020 so far is The Last of Us Part 2. It is a technical masterpiece with outstanding writing, performances, and combat, and it earned a rare 100 score here at COGconnected. As one of the most anticipated sequels to one of the most beloved games, there is always bound to be some criticism, though the game shines through it. In our review, we stated: “An astounding technical marvel, The Last of Us Part 2 deftly weaves diverse exploration and fun combat into the mix, resulting in a truly brilliant package.”
