While you’d have to be living under a literal rock to not know what The Last of Us is about the sequel takes place 5 years after the events of the original game unfold. Following their dangerous journey across the USA Ellie and Joel have settled down in a town in Wyoming, where they find relative peace and quiet. When that peace is disrupted Ellie begins a journey of her own, one of justice. The Last of Us Part 2 earned a rare 100 from us here at COGconnected and in case you missed our review here’s a brief snippet: “Naughty Dog knows how to tell a story. In pacing, framing, and the ability to deliver emotional weight they have very few peers. Screen time is never wasted. The story constantly surges ahead, and yet, it knows exactly when to let itself breathe. In the quietest moments, when the music fades away and the weight of the world sits atop the characters’ shoulders, they bear that weight brilliantly.”
