I came across a press release for Monster Crown today. I initially opened it up because I was expecting to see a new Pokemon release. But it is a new game. I was going to dismiss it, but when I saw that it was a Canadian one-person developer I got curious enough to look into it further.

Bleach: Brave Souls Now Available on PC

Bleach: Brave Souls celebrated its 5th year anniversary July 23, 2020. To mark the event, KLab Inc., who developed the game, announced that they will release the game on Steam for the PC market this summer. This game is a platformer with a twist! Unlike most platformers, ceiling, floor, and walls are fluid concepts. You move around the world by twisting the entire world around as you use gravity to maneuver through some of the trickier sections. Some levels can even be completed without ever landing!

Gridly is a new CMS for Game Developers

Entreprenörinvest, owned by The IKEA Family Foundation and other Swedish venture capital firms, has invested $1,130,820 USD in the Sweden-based software company LocalizeDirect. The funding is to support the development and launch of Gridly, a collaborative headless CMS that supports multilingual games. 

Ghost of Tsushima Sales are Extraordinary

PlayStation is celebrating the success of Ghost of Tsushima on twitter, as it becomes its highest-selling first-party original IP. In its first three days alone, it sold over 2.4 million games! To put this in perspective, that is more copies than the popular Horizon Zero Dawn sold.
