Stadia Gamers Can Now Message Each Other

Message Your Friends and Enemies on Google Stadia

Google Stadia continues to improve as it evolves as a service and Google recently added some new features, including the ability to message other Stadia players. The new messaging feature includes smart replies for people playing with a gamepad. Google Stadia fans will also be able to send screenshots and video clips on the web via sending links. Stadia Profile enhancements are also coming with the new changes, while captured clips can include game chat voice audio.

While messaging isn’t a new feature for gamers, it’s a welcome addition to the feature lacking Google Stadia platform. Smart replies will save Google Stadia players from typing out full messages using a gamepad which is cumbersome on any platform. “You now have the ability to send messages to other players and members of parties on Stadia. This includes smart replies on gamepads for quick and easy responses.” The new messaging feature is rolling out to Google Stadia fans in Italy, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the UK, and the US.

In addition to the messaging feature being added to Google Stadia, Stadia is also getting family sharing, Stadia Profile enhancements, and capture sharing that can include game chat voice audio. These game clips can be shared by clicking the share button allowing others on mobile and web to see your accomplishments. Family Sharing will allow Stadia owners to share purchased games with other family members who play Google Stadia.
