Gamer’s love content. It’s always exciting when a beloved game gets more for player’s to enjoy about it. In fact, the introduction of new content is often enough for players to jump back into a game they may not have touched in awhile. Though with this game, that may not be the case. Today, Larian Studios is excited to announce the newest update for their Dungeons & Dragons RPG, Baldur’s Gate 3. The update, Patch 5, is the largest feature-filled patch yet. Introducing a whole host of new changes, Patch 5 is bringing new ways to play, a new epilogue, and even changes to mechanics. A press release provided more details about Patch 5.
Baldur’s Gate 3 introduces players to one of the realms of Dungeons & Dragons. As such, players will design their own character and embark on an adventure through the world of the game. With 5.2 million sales, many players have already gone on to follow through on this adventure. Yet, now, with the inclusion of Patch 5, there is even more to explore. Interestingly, the new patch is adding new game modes to change the way players embark on their journey.
Honour Mode and Custom Mode are ensuring Baldur’s Gate 3 players have even more ways to play. Honour Mode adds a new legendary action system for bosses, tweaks in and out of combat, and disabling save-scumming. On the other side, Custom Mode allows players to tailor their experience how they wish. This game mode can make the game easier or harder for the player depending on what they want. Furthermore, Patch 5, allows players to play through a new epilogue to enjoy a send off full of new writing and dialogue.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is currently available on PC and PS5. The game will launch in December on Xbox Series X|S.
