Hyper Scape Gets a Trailer and an Open Beta

Ubisoft Releases Hyper Scape in Open Beta

Ubisoft has officially launched an open beta for their upcoming PC battle royale FPS, Hyper Scape. The new Ubisoft title received a trailer during the recent Ubisoft Forward event and was quickly shadow dropped in open beta. Hyper Scape takes place in a futuristic version of our world and it offers twitchy, frenetic gameplay. Like most battle royale games, 99 players start out in Neo Arcadia and slowly the map shrinks and the number of players whittles down. The Hyper Scape open beta is available now for PC and will fully release for PC, Xbox One and PS4 later this year.

Ubisoft’s Hyper Scape got leaked ahead of the Ubisoft Forward event, but that didn’t reduce the impact the announcement had during the showcase.Considering how quickly it was brought to PC, efforts are likely in motion to get an open beta started on consoles soon too. The title has gotten cinematic and gameplay trailers and it seems like one of the next big Ubisoft titles. Gamers who want to participate in the open beta testing for Hyper Scape will need to have a uPlay account, which is typical for Ubisoft games on PC.

The gameplay trailer for Hyper Scape includes melee and ranged weapons, as well as a great emphasis on verticality. It’s one of the more futuristic battle royale titles, somewhat in line with Apex Legends. Characters have access to unique abilities such as wall building, teleportation, a barrier and cloaking. Hyper Scape is already being plagued by hackers and cheaters just like any other popular battle royale title but the gameplay showed off by Ubisoft looks really fast and fluid.
