Seven EA Games Coming to Nintendo Switch This Year

EA Is Bringing More of Their Catalog to the Nintendo Switch

After the Nintendo Switch’s recent sales success, it appears Electronic Arts has finally taken to Nintendo’s hybrid console according to the recent EA Play. EA has announced that seven new games from their lineup will be joining the Nintendo Switch over the course of the next twelve months. So far only two of these titles have been confirmed: Burnout Paradise Remastered (which releases today) and Apex Legends (which releases in the Fall). It’s likely that FIFA games will continue to be released for the Switch, but this leaves four titles that leave us guessing. Burnout Paradise Remastered is available right now for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

EA has been snoozing on the Nintendo Switch for the most part until the recent EA Play, with only FIFA and some EA Originals available for the hybrid console. It seems like the recent success Nintendo has found since the release of Animal Crossing: New Horizons has peeked EA’s interest with their increased release schedule for the Switch.

Apex Legends will bring another big battle royale to the hybrid console, allowing people to play as their favorite legends on the go or at home. Just in time for the Nintendo Switch release, Apex Legends will also be getting crossplay, so new Nintendo fans can queue with veteran console or PC players alike.

Considering there are five EA titles coming to the Nintendo Switch that EA hasn’t confirmed yet, we think it would be just as fitting for the Sims to be on the platform as the upcoming FIFA 21. Nintendo Switch gamers can expect a total of 7 new EA games over the next twelve months and we’re looking forward to more of their library on Nintendo’s current-gen console.
