Hypercharge: Unboxed Maps Inspired by Real Life

Hypercharge Gets Playful With Unboxed Toys “R” Us Simulator

Hypercharge is a first-person-cooperative online shooter that allows gamers to tackle multiple real world inspired levels. One of the popular levels features a store very similar to Toys “R” Us, which includes stocked shelves, glistening floors and piles of boxes. Best of all, some of our childhood favorite toys are here, such as toy soldiers and their vehicles, LEGO, Beyblades, UFO’s, dinosaurs and more. Beyond actually including trademarked toys such as Toy Story figures, Bionicle miniatures and Hot Wheels, this is the best way to simulate a Toys “R” Us in-game. Hypercharge: Unboxed is available for Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC now

Hypercharge: Unboxed utilizes the Unreal Engine 4 to maximize the amount of environmental detail that allows it to accurately simulate a toy store. While it’s a first-person shooter, the gameplay centers on tower defense. Gamers will locate tokens around one of several maps to purchase defenses and upgrades to protect their energy stations. Maps included with Hypercharge: Unboxed are various bedrooms, garages, bathrooms, hallways and the aforementioned toy store. We think that there’s a lot of potential for more maps to join Hypercharge: Unboxed as it evolves.

While each map contains unique enemies, the toy store features all of your favorite toys from childhood coming to life to hunt you. Action figures will karate chop their way to victory, spinning tops will break through defenses like the toughest Beyblades and dinosaurs are looking to exact their prehistoric revenge on any gamers brave enough to tackle the Hypercharge: Unboxed toy store. The enemies come in waves just like the best tower defense games but seasoned veterans of the genre will also need to be familiar with FPS gameplay to fully master this title.
