EA Announced a Battle Armor Event for Apex Legends
Apex Legends Design Director Jason McCord recently took to the official website for the game to announce an upcoming event for the battle royale. The new event is called Battle Armor and it’ll basically start everyone in the game mode equipped with the same grade of armor and a P2020, allowing Apex fans to immediately get into the action like Call of Duty: Warzone. The event will cycle through armor types over the course of its fourteen day run, leading to the release of season 5. Apex Legends is available right now on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, with the Battle Armor event coming on April 28th.
“Throughout the last year we’ve heard many fun ideas from our fans about different ways to play Apex Legends,” said Jason McCord. “One of my favorites has been suggested countless times, and even more so when we introduced the Evo Shields in The System Override Event.” While it isn’t too revolutionary to start players off with a weapon equipped in battle royale games, it’ll be interesting to see how the meta of the game changes with everyone wearing the same level of armor. The limited-time mode is one of many introduced by Respawn Entertainment developers to keep fans coming back for new and engaging content.
With the upcoming release of season 5 for Apex Legends, the Battle Armor event will likely keep the interest in any fans struggling to remain motivated in grinding out season 4’s final days. Just like the launch of season 4, we hope to see an awesome new trailer for the upcoming season to get an idea of what we can expect from the ever evolving free-to-play battle royale. While armor will be removed from the loot pool in the Battle Armor event, the P2020 can be upgraded to be one of the better guns in the game by adding attachments that can still be found throughout the map.
