Borderlands 3 Video Backgrounds Available to Download

If You Can Get Them to Work

Gearbox really likes their supplementary Borderlands content. They are hit and miss, but they try. Outside of their games, they have their soon-to-end Vault Insiders Program that offers phone and desktop backgrounds, they post Borderlands comic strips in the style of Calvin and Hobbes (IG: @erikdstrips), and the monthly Borderlands Show, and other stuff. Now, they are trying out a round of Borderlands 3 video backgrounds. They are pretty simple, but honestly, not really worth the effort. They are not as easy to set up as a desktop background as their still image counterparts.

There are nine different video backgrounds that feature different areas in the game, including one from the first DLC. One has a greeting from Boomtown from Tina, Brick, and Mordecai, another has Zane, Amara, and FL4K hanging out in Sanctuary III, and the others have various landscapes with Psychos and some without. While these are indeed video backgrounds, they do not really live up to the name. The characters are all still images with a moving background, like plants blowing in the wind or a moving display on a New-U station. I would have really liked to have Brick and Tina waving to me through my computer screen, but we don’t always get what we want.

While there are ways of setting an MP4 or other video file as your desktop background, but like I said above, they are not really worth the effort. Still, if you have an easy way of doing it, you can download any of them at Borderlands.com. Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia.

Which of these video backgrounds are your favourite? Let us know in the comments below.
