World of Warcraft Gains Vulpera and Mechagnomes
World of Warcraft fans still playing through Battle for Azeroth gameplay can unlock the Vulpera allied race for Horde and the Mechagnome allied race for the Alliance. Patch 8.3 adds several new features and adjustments to the game, most notably the ability to grind out reputation to unlock these playable races. The Uldum and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms zones get assaulted by the Old God, N’Zoth and the Black Empire in the upcoming patch, corrupting the Titans of Azeroth. Patch 8.3 has no expected date, though it ought to release in early 2020.
The Mechagnome and Vulpera allied races have been rumored since weeks into Battle for Azeroth, particularly the cuddly fox-like Vulpera who share the same dimmensions as the in-game Goblin models, though looking drastically different. Similar to most allied races, the Mechagnome continues the theme of looking like a slight visual adjustment to an existing race, similar to the Dark Iron Dwarves and Kul Tiran Humans. Gamers should grind reputation out for these races so that when they release, they’ll be able to do the quest to unlock them right away.
N’Zoth has been teased since the beginning of the expansion, particularly with Sylvanis’ descent into madness and how she became the Warchief of the Horde. We like that the upcoming assaults are finding new ways to alter Azeroth similar to the Legion Invasion points from the last expansion. These make the world as a whole feel more alive rather than just the new zones. The Assaults add catch up gear for lapsed BFA players who want to gear up quickly and do mythics with their friends.
We’re excited to see the Vulpera and Mechagnomes finally added as playable allied races in the upcoming Patch 8.3 but what do you think of the new races? Are you going to re-roll your main to be a cuddly little fox or an android gnome? Let us know in the comments below!
