Telltale’s The Walking Dead Gets a Visual Upgrade

Skybound Games just released The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series which includes a number of new features with the combination of all four main seasons and the Michonne episodes in one package. Along with upgraded visuals and several digital bonuses to the Telltale Games zombie game inspired by the Walking Dead comics are over 140 musical tracks and ten hours of developer commentary. The commentary is accompanied by a mini documentary which gives insight into the development of the games. The Telltale Definitive Series is out now on PS4, Xbox One and the Epic Games Store on PC and is priced at $50.

The Telltale Definitive Series also includes a behind-the-scenes documentary short called “Return of the Walking Dead” which delves into the making of the Telltale series that really put them on the map. Expect to plug about 50 hours into The Telltale Definitive Series as it spans 23 exciting and dramatic episodes that play like interactive movies where your choices matter, adding more hours with replayability. The “graphic black” art style from The Final Season is now available across all of the seasons as it adds a nice comic book cosmetic to the game with its application.

With the demise of Telltale Games, we’re happy to see Skybound Games releasing The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Series and are looking forward to seeing what bundles are released in the future. Though the television series is a mix of good and bad across its nine seasons, the Telltale games are consistently quality and endlessly engaging. The games are less about killing zombies and more focused on life after a zombie apocalypse and the butterfly effect of decisions you make.
