3. The Quarry – June 10
The Quarry is the spiritual successor to 2015’s Until Dawn. The third person, choose-your-own-adventure style gameplay is making a comeback. While Until Dawn was an homage to slasher films, The Quarry draws specific inspiration from psycho hillbilly horror films like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. The game’s cast is made up of iconic horror genre actors, such as David Arquette, Lance Henriksen, Grace Zabriskie, Lin Shaye, and Ted Raimi (aka Joxer The Mighty). Although Switch owners have some big releases to look forward to in June, The Quarry is available for everything but.
2. Mario Strikers: Battle League – June 10
Slap a Super Mario skin on a game, and it’s almost guaranteed to sell well. A large reason for this is that Nintendo is very good about making sure their first-party branding is associated with quality games. Mario Strikers has never been the most popular of Nintendo’s sport series, but it’s still Super Mario-themed 5-on-5 soccer, and that alone earns it a place in the Top 5 Games Arriving in June 2022.
1. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes – June 24
The biggest release of June 2022 is another Switch exclusive. There is no doubt that people love the Fire Emblem games. Fire Emblem Warriors is not a strategy RPG, like the main series, however, but a Musou game like Hyrule Warriors. This second Fire Emblem Warriors game is set in the world of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses titles. Look forward to this massive Switch exclusive at the end of June.
