The Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2023
December is a typically pretty slow month for video game releases. People have less money to spend on video games, because they put their game fund towards Christmas presents. Luckily there are still some great-looking releases towards the beginning of the month. Our honorable mention this month is Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, which is an isometric Western RPG that takes place in the Warhammer 40K universe. 5. Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties: Definitive Edition – December 8
We’re starting off the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in December 2023 with a bit of humor, because Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties is a serious contender for the worst video game of all time. It’s essentially a short “choose your own adventure” “FMV” movie, entirely made of still photos. It was originally released for Windows in 1993, and rose to infamy after the 3DO version was covered by The Angry Video Game Nerd. Limited Run has been promising a release for years, and, while preorders have closed on the physical version, Plumbers Don’t Wear Ties: Definitive Edition will be available digitally in December all consoles and PC.
4. SteamWorld Build – December 1
SteamWorld Build takes place in the same universe as the SteamWorld Dig games. Unlike those Metroidvania titles, SteamWorld Build will be a construction/ management sim. There are actually other SteamWorld games that make up different genres, such as tower defense, turn-based strategy, and deck building, so it’s very cool to see the devs experimenting with gameplay genres again. SteamWorld Build will be available for all consoles and PC.
