Halo Infinite Is Removing Behemoth Capture the Flag from Ranked Playlist

Halo Infinite Will Fix It Before Considering to Re-Add It to Rotation

Halo Infinite devs have decided to remove Behemoth Capture the Flag from the game’s ranked playlist. Community Manager John Junyszek confirmed that they are getting rid of this mode until they have rebalanced the map. Apparently, the map and mode combo was causing a lot of issues for the players.

Based on data and community feedback, we will be removing the map and mode pairing of Behemoth Capture the Flag from our ranked playlists for the time being,” Junyszek wrote. “We have seen enough data to show us that the map is not performing in ranked as intended.”

Apparently, the map and mode had too many issues when it came to spawning and lack of cover. “Spawning on the perimeter of the bases with a direct line of sight to the flag stand is creating a more frenetic match pace than desired,” he continued. “This leaves players feeling that even a well-coordinate team push into the enemy base can fall apart quickly.”

As a result, Halo Infinite flag pulls become “much more difficult than they should be.” “Players seem to be respawning in places that can often feel unpredictable and therefore frustrating to deal with,” he added. “This goes for both attacking and defending teams.”

Halo Infinite fans took to social media to rejoice the removal. Apparently, a huge majority of players are not big fans of the Behemoth map.

From the entire Halo community, so long Behemoth,” wrote another.

343 Industries plans to tweak and test the map’s issues before they decide to re-add it to the rotation. They might do so once they finally determine if it is working as intended.

We are going to take some time to address the areas mentioned and make changes to improve the ranked Behemoth experience,” the devs added. “If we are confident that we are able to do so successfully, then we will consider adding it back into the ranked experience in the future.”
