Dying Light Is Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S Because… Because

What Is Dead May Never Die

Dying Light 2 is been a long time coming and its actually within sight. In February 2022, fans will be able to play it, but Techland is not done with the first game. Even as almost everyone’s focus is on the sequel, the original still gets attention.

Dying Light’s Hellraid DLC is getting an update that adds more quests, more spells, more potions, more everything. There will be an armory for players to display their weapons. The DLC is paid, but the updates are free.

When asked about a FPS boost for the game on PS5, Techland causally noted that they are working on a patch for Xbox Series X|S and PS5. To be clear, there is already a FPS boost setting on Xbox Series X|S for Dying Light, but it sounds like a native version is in the works for Xbox Series X|S and PS5.

There is no word on when it will be ready, so it could be around the time Dying Light 2 finally launches or even after. Techland’s commitment to the first game is really astounding. Six years after launch and it is still steadily adding new content.

Dying Light is available now on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, and will be coming to Nintendo Switch next week. Dying Light 2 will be available on February 4th, 2022 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
