Proletariat Studios Confirmed Spellbreak Chapter One

Spellbreak Chapter One Coming Soon

Proletariat Studios recently confirmed the upcoming release of Spellbreak Chapter One as the game leaves its game preview stage while finishing Epic Games Store exclusivity to join Steam as well. The update releasing on December 15th will bring a new battle pass system known as Chapters to the magical battle royale game which brings plot elements to the battlefield. While daily quests have been a fixture in Spellbreak since its inception, Chapters will make the game more engaging. Spellbreak is available right now for Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

“From our perspective, we’re consistently trying to find things that we find interesting, that we don’t see a lot of other people doing,” said Executive Producer Cardell Kerr. “If your game isn’t unique, why are you making it?” Similar to the new season of Fortnite, Spellbreak’s NPCs will offer more quests in the game, though these quests are narrative-driven story quests that encourage exploring the Hallowed Lands and will apparently explore the history of Spellbreak when the first Chapter releases next week.

“But we don’t want endless dialogue and loads of text that some MMOs might have because that isn’t the kind of snappy gameplay our players are looking for,” said Content and Narrative Designer for Spellbreak Tori Schafer. “The quests do become more challenging as the weeks go on. They become more interesting and you have to invest knowledge from the previous week… each Chapter is going to come with its own unique surprises. This game and this world will continue to evolve.”

The various kingdoms of Spellbreak will apparently be explored and explained with Chapters starting next week, so fans of the game that are looking for some more plot will have to check it out. Steam gamers who wishlist Spellbreak ahead of December 15th will receive a free skin when they log in for the first time. Are you hyped for Spellbreak Chapter One? Let us know in the comments below!
