Blizzard Working to Rid World of Warcraf of Multiboxers
Blizzard Entertainment has officially started warning World of Warcraft multiboxers that their accounts can be temporarily suspended or fully closed depending on their activity. Blizzard Entertainment’s Customer Service division is sending out warnings to WoW fans who use third-party input broadcasting software to multibox. Blizzard will also be removing things such as items or gold acquired through the use of multiboxing to further discourage the practice before implementing suspensions or bans. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands releases for PC and Mac on November 23rd.
“There is recent activity on this account in which characters were using software intended for input broadcasting,” said an official Blizzard Entertainment Customer Service statement to a multiboxer. “Using this software creates a detrimental gameplay experience for the majority of players in World of Warcraft. We need to warn you that we will restrict accounts which continue to use this type of software… the account holder is responsible for all activity on the account.”
“In some cases, these actions happen when a third party compromises an account to sell gold or other in-game property,” according to Blizzard Entertainment and they implore WoW fans who think their accounts have been compromised to go through Battle.net support.
