Trade Gold Bars With NPCs in Fortnite Zero Point

Fortnite Zero Point Brings NPCs and More Changes

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 5 – Zero Point has officially kicked off, bringing with it several changes to the game. Firstly, the map now has NPCs scattered around it. Players can pick up quests from these NPCs in order to earn gold bars which can be spent on rewards, upgrades, pots, etc. One of the new types of quests added is bounties which play similarly to those found in Call of Duty: Warzone. Fortnite is available to play for free right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, mobile, Mac, and PC.

Fortnite players can interact with NPCs across the map, with each of them offering unique challenges and rewards. Some will let you challenge them to a fight for a powerful weapon, while others can be hired as back up, with Mancake being a clear beast in battle. NPCs come in various familiar forms which have all been released as stand-alone skins on the item shop or through the various battle passes that have released since Fortnite launched back in 2017.

Fortnite gamers who start a bounty in Chapter 2 Season 5 – Zero Point will see that part of their map is now highlighted, indicating where their bounty target is. Similar to Call of Duty: Warzone, if you’re hunting a bounty target and someone else eliminates them, or they eliminate themselves, you still get the gold bars a reward. When you die, a portion of these gold bars is dropped, but most gold bars carry over to the next match. Since weapon upgraders were replaced by NPCs that upgrade weapons, it makes sense that a percentage of gold bars carries over to the next match.
