Epic Games Is Looking at a Monthly Fortnite Subscription
As part of a recent Epic Games survey, Fortnite fans have noticed one particular tidbit that’s getting the community talking. The survey asks Fortnite fans how much they would pay for a monthly subscription that included 1,000 V-Bucks per month, “instant access” to each season’s battle pass, and a “monthly crew pack” that offers early access to a skin, pickaxe, and back-bling. Epic Games is suggesting $15.99 or $18.99, but the survey will help them gauge the right price for their community. Fortnite is available right now for free on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch, mobile, and PC.
During the recent Epic Games survey, Fortnite fans were asked what they’d expect from a monthly Fortnite subscription, with selectable options ranging from free Battle Pass levels and selectable item shop cosmetics for free, to the monthly crew pack and free V-Bucks that are likely part of the upcoming subscription service. Depending on what ends up in the paid monthly subscription, Fortnite fans may get a great value from Epic Games as the Battle Pass is on its most valuable season yet during Chapter 2 Season 4.
Considering some responses to the Fortnite survey are priceless, such as early access to a battle pass and exclusive cosmetics, the value of a monthly subscription priced at $15.99 or $18.99 is really dependent on what comes in the final package. Some things can, however, be broken down to a price such as 25 Battle Pass levels costing roughly $25, a Battle Pass itself costing around $9.50, and 1,000 V-Bucks costing the same amount as the Battle Pass.
