The Tony Hawk Pro Skater Documentary Coming Soon
Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story is a documentary about the Tony Hawk Pro Skater games and it’s releasing this summer. The documentary will appear on multiple streaming and VOD services on August 18th and it will give long-time fans of the Pro Skater series an idea of how it came together and the reception it received off the bat. The title of the documentary is inspired by a track on the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater soundtrack known as Superman by Goldfinger. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 and 2 Remaster is coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC on September 4th, giving fans of the series some time to watch the documentary before the release.
Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story stars Tony Hawk and it includes other pro skaters such as Chad Muska, Steve Caballero, Jamie Thomas and Rodney Mullen. Various interviews with these pro skaters will help give fans of the Pro Skater series an idea of how the original games came together and the initial reception of the games. All of the interviews were done exclusively for Pretending I’m a Superman, which is being produced by Ralph D’Amato, directed by Ludvig Gür and released by Wood Entertainment.
Pretending I’m a Superman: The Tony Hawk Video Game Story doesn’t only focus on the Pro Skater series, as it will cover the skateboarding scene from the time and Activision and Neversoft’s development process. The game mostly focuses on Tony Hawk and it explores his personal history and passion for skateboarding video games. We’re looking forward to seeing interviews with all of our favorite skaters from the original Pro Skater games and what inspired them to join the Activision and Neversoft project.
