Jack Black Gets a Hands-on Demo of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2

Jacky Blacky Guest Skater Confirmed?!?!

Just a couple of days ago, we got news that the first two THPS games would be remastered and released this Fall. It may be news to us, but apparently Jack Black of Tenacious D and Jablinski Games has known about it for a little while and even got his hands on the demo. In the most recent episode of Jablinski Games, Jack Black and his sons Tommy and Sammy hung out with Tony Hawk and played a bit of the upcoming remaster. It was preceded by a jam session with members of Devo and skaters Steve Cabbellero and Riley Hawk, and then succeeded by a skate session with skaters from the game Eric Koston, Elissa Steamer, Kareem Campbell, Chad Muska, and Rodney Mullen.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2

Tony Hawk, Sammy, Tommy, and Jack Black take turns playing the iconic Warehouse level. This level has appeared in a dozen Tony Hawk games on various platforms and will serve as the demo for the upcoming remastered bundle. Hawk and Black reminisce about skating and video games in the 80s and 90s, as well as their previous encounters. Tony Hawk also reveals that the last time he and Jack Black got together to play THPS 5, which was back in November, the remastered bundle was being worked on, but he could not tell him.

The latter half of the video showed Jack Black and his son’s actual skateboarding skills alongside those of the other skaters in the game, though Jack Black may have altered the footage a couple of times. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 will be out on September 4th on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, with a demo coming out during the Summer.

Are you going to be getting this remastered bundle? Let us know in the comments below.
