The Last of Us Part II References Another Naughty Dog Classic
The Last of Us Part II fans are discovering several Jak and Daxter Easter eggs in the latest game from Naughty Dog. Three Easter eggs were quickly discovered by eagle eyed The Last of Us Part II gamers, with one being more obvious than the others.The Last of Us Part II Easter eggs reference the Jak and Daxter HD Collection from the PS3, Jak X: Combat Racing from the PS2 and Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy from the PlayStation Vita. Gamers can locate these Easter eggs for themselves on The Last of Us Part II, available exclusively for the PS4.
The locations of the Jak and Daxter Easter eggs include minor spoilers, so if you’re looking to avoid those, you may want to discover them for yourself. The first Jak and Daxter Easter egg in The Last of Us Part II is in the library near the beginning of the game, with a PlayStation 3 console with copies of Naughty Dog games Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and the Jak and Daxter Collection sitting in a corner. This Easter egg clearly involves several references to the Naughty Dog games from the last generation of consoles, but the library should look into expanding their lineup of games.
During Seattle – Day 3: The Flooded City in The Last of Us Part II, Ellie discovers an old arcade with a bunch of out of commission arcade cabinets sitting around, including one for Jak X: Combat Racing. Jak X: Combat Racing is from the PS2 generation of consoles and it was a spin-off of Jak 3. At the beginning of the Seattle – Day 1 chapter when playing as Abby, gamers can find a Wolf playing Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy on a PlayStation Vita.
