Guarantee Yourself Some Gigantamax Pokemon in Sword and Shield
The Pokemon Company has brought a Max Raid Battle event to Pokemon Sword and Shield, guaranteeing several Gigantamax Pokemon for fans to catch before the release of the upcoming Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLC. The event has already begun and will run until the end of June and it includes nearly all of the currently available Gigantamax Pokemon who will be scattered around the Pokemon Sword and Shield Wild Area. Pokemon Sword and Shield is available exclusively for the Nintendo Switch right now, with the earliest DLC releasing next week.
The following Gigantamax Pokemon will be brought to Pokemon Shield during the Max Raid Battle event:
- Snorlax
- Charizard
- Butterfree
- Machamp
- Orbeetle
- Drednaw
- Coalossal
- Flapple
- Sandaconda
- Toxtricity
- Hatterne
- Copperajah
The following Gigantamax Pokemon will be brought to Pokemon Sword during the Max Raid Battle event:
- Snorlax
- Gengar
- Kingler
- Lapras
- Garbodor
- Corviknight
- Appletun
- Toxtricity
- Centiskorch
- Grimmsnarl
- Alcremie
- Duraludon
While Toxtricity is available for the Max Raid Battle event in both installments of the current generation of Pokemon, it will be in a different form depending on the version gamers are playing. Gigantamax Toxtricity in Pokemon Sword will be in its Ampled form, but the Shield variation of the Pokemon will be appear in its Low Key form. Ultimately for gamers to locate all of the GIgantamax Pokemon, they need to either own both versions of the game or trade for the ones they don’t have access to.
This event runs through June until the very end of June 29th, giving Pokemon fans plenty of time to catch all the Gigantamax Pokemon currently available other than those that were available through Let’s Go Eevee and Let’s Go Pikachu.
