The highly anticipated May 2024 Community Day event is just around the corner, and this month’s festivities will center around the delightful grass-type Pokemon, Bounsweet. During the event, Bounsweet will grace the wild with its presence more frequently than usual, offering trainers ample opportunities to catch this charming creature and earn valuable Bounsweet Candy.
Event Schedule and Timing
Set your alarms for Sunday, May 19, when Pokemon Go’s May Community Day kicks off. The main event will run from 2 to 5 PM local time, followed by extended four-star raids available from 5 to 10 PM local time.

The star attraction of this Community Day is none other than Bounsweet, a grass-type Pokemon hailing from the Alola region. Throughout the event, Bounsweet will be making appearances in the wild at an increased rate, and keen-eyed trainers may even encounter the elusive Shiny Bounsweet, identifiable by its purple stem and yellow base.
Featured Move: High Jump Kick
For trainers looking to power up their Bounsweet, evolving Steenee during the event hours (2 to 10 PM local time) will teach the evolved Tsareena a powerful new attack: High Jump Kick. This risky but potent fighting-type charged move boasts significant power in PvP battles, though it comes with a chance of reducing the user’s defense stat.
In-Game Bonuses
In addition to increased Bounsweet spawns and the introduction of High Jump Kick, trainers can enjoy a plethora of in-game bonuses during May’s Community Day. Catching Pokemon will yield double the usual Candy, with a higher likelihood of receiving Candy XL for players at level 31 and above.
