The upcoming digital GO Fest is the first ever global GO fest, not requiring fans to travel to a specific destination. The digital events will include rotating virtual habitats, a global challenge arena, team lounges and printable merch. Tickets for Pokemon GO Fest 2020 cost $14.99 and unlike previous events, there’s no limit on how many people can attend this year. Fans of Pokemon GO who don’t attend GO Fest 2020 will be able to participate in weekly challenges leading to the event, with three weeks offering different challenges. Niantic will be releasing a social app that will help fans of Pokemon GO keep in contact with their friends regardless of which Niantic title they prefer. While the app won’t feature chat when it launches, the team is apparently considering the feature.
