Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines Gets a Bloody Sequel
Hardsuit Labs joined many other developers as part of the Xbox Series X Inside Xbox games showcase, revealing their next-gen title, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2. The trailer featured gore and creepy visuals that are familiar to the Bloodlines series with the classic song “Danke Schoen” playing in the background. Vampires infect other humans with their thirst for blood in the trailer, showing the impact Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 gamers will have on the world around them. Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 will release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5 and PC. While the game has no official release date, it’s expected around the release of next-gen consoles.
Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 was originally expected to release earlier this year but it looks like it was delayed to wind up on next-gen consoles. The gameplay was clearly optimized for the Xbox Series X when it was showed off during the Inside Xbox games showcase considering the graphical fidelity and lack of frame rate dips. The gameplay showed off during the trailer focused mostly on dancing and combat, with vampires using their special abilities to reel in a nearby ax to slaughter foes in a back ally.
The city of Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 features several bright lights but because of the lore of the franchise, it’s likely that it will include many dark areas as well. There’s a scene in the trailer that takes place in a disco that includes flashing colourful lights and we hope the location isn’t just a cinematic moment in the game. The many interactions included in the Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines 2 showed how vampires’ thirsting for blood can impact the world around them, so be sure to turn your favorite characters into creatures of the night.
