Chucklefish Creating Magic School Simulator: Witchbrook

Witchbrook is Chucklefish’s Magic School Simulator

Developer and publisher Chucklefish recently shared new images of their upcoming magic school simulator, Witchbrook. The title which was announced in 2018 and it has since grown into a top-down, isometric simulation title that lets fans create their dream Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The title has always been a bright and colourful RPG simulator, the top-down view is a new addition to the title. Due to zero crunch at the studio, the magic school simulator is still a while from release and there’s no word on what platforms it will end up on but we expect to still see it on this generation of consoles.

The visuals of Witchbrook mimic classic 16-bit titles such as early Final Fantasy titles and The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past with a modern upgrade. In Witchbrook, gamers will create their own witch or wizard and attend classes to complete assignments at magic school. While taking classes, you develop close bonds with other characters and participating in extracurricular activities like Harry did when he arrived at Hogwarts all of those years ago. There are secret spells that witches and wizards can learn in their free time at Witchbrook so exploring is encouraged.

Gamers who are excited for this upcoming magic school simulator are encouraged to visit the official website for the game and sign up for the “Witchbrook Oracle newspaper,” or sign up for Discord updates on the game from Chucklefish themselves. It will take a while to see the title on PC and consoles but Chucklefish recently stated, “Chucklefish are proud to be a zero-crunch studio,” states Chucklefish. “This does mean that development will take longer than some people may be used to, but we truly believe that developers who are healthy and well-rested make better games!”
