Splatoon 2’s Update 5.10 Is Now Live

Update 5.10 Is Live for Splatoon 2 Now

Update 5.10 is now live for Splatoon 2 fans to check out the many balance tweaks and bug fixes that accompanied the patch. Many weapons have received balance changes such as the Bamboozler 14, Luna Blaster and the L-3 Nozzlenose which have received changes to damage, reload speed, and ink consumption. Despite not including any fresh new content for Splatoon fans to explore, update 5.10 changes the game enough that gamers may have to change their builds to survive the inkfest battles. Splatoon 2 is a popular Arena-shooter that’s exclusive to the Nintendo Switch right now.

New Splatoon 2 Stage

The Luna Blaster and its Neo variant along with the Kensa Luna Blaster have received an interesting change where after firing them, the time required to do something else afterward has been reduced by a fraction of a second. Ink consumption foe these weapons has also been reduced by roughly 17% so fans of the weapons may look to new ones moving forward. In addition, the Splattershot, Kensa Splattershot and Tentatek Splattershot have had their ink consumption reduced by about 8% so you may have to alter your build after update 5.10.

Update 5.10 is the first of two upcoming patches for Splatoon 2 in the near future, with the final Splatfest having already taken place in July and no upcoming content planned for the latest Splatoon title. The Splat Charger, Firefin Splat Charger, Kensa Charger, Hero Charger Replica have all received reductions to the area covered by ink droplets from fired shots. The official Splatoon Twitter account recently Tweeted a 2020 New Year’s post that inclusded an SOS message saying Save Our Salmon that had us speculating a future title with no announced new content coming to Splatoon 2.
