3. Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound – July 31
The Ninja Gaiden franchise is back! There’s a Platinum-developed Ninja Gaiden 4 for fans of the 3D games. But Koei Tecmo didn’t forget about fans of the 2D games, because we are getting Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound this month! Ragebound is developed by The Game Kitchen, who made the Blasphemous games. Expect gorgeous pixel art, and soul crushing difficulty! It’s so great to see Ninja Gaiden appear again in lists like the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in July 2025.
2. EA Sports College Football 26 – July 10
EA Sports College Football 25 was a massive hit! It’s arguably the best football game on modern consoles. We hadn’t had a college football game in over a decade, due to players not being compensated. But there’s a massive college football market out there. EA Sports College Football 26 is the sequel to that massive hit. Hopefully it continues the excellent start lain by its predecessor. A major sports sim like this is an obvious inclusion on the Top 5 Video Games Arriving in July 2025.
1. Donkey Kong Bananza – July 17
Although some lament the Switch 2’s launch line-up not having enough original titles, Nintendo is wisely staggering its major first party games. This way fans aren’t slammed with too much cost up front. Donkey Kong Banaza is a massive 3D platform adventure game. It looks like it might be more of a spiritual successor to Super Mario Odyssey than Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze. The recent Nintendo Direct changed a lot of people’s opinions from interested to must buy. Donkey Kong Bananza is an obvious choice to top COGconnected’s Top 5 Video Games Arriving in July 2025.
