Master Chief Halo Infinite Watch Impressions
It’s a bummer Halo Infinite hasn’t been the smash hit many hoped it would be. Half a year since launch, it’s still missing core features from previous Halo games. We are still waiting on cooperative play and “Forge” mode; and folks haven’t exactly been thrilled with the multiplayer map pool. I get it, improvements are on the way but it’s just taking a lot of time. Far too much time. Speaking of time, SuperGroupies have released a snazzy Master Chief Halo Infinite watch. Unlike the game, this watch didn’t hit the market half-baked.
Out of the box, the watch is incredibly sexy. Unlike the last few SuperGroupies watches we’ve checked out that feature less than stellar leather straps, this watch features a stunning black and gray stainless-steel strap. It complements my black and gray wedding ring perfectly, and unlike a leather strap, it doesn’t get hot and slimy on my wrist.
The main dial is equally sharp. It pays tribute to the Master Chief in a subtle, but brilliant way. Like other watches in the SuperGroupies collection, it’s all about those tiny details that aren’t easily noticeable at first glance. From a distance or even a few feet away, you’d never know it was a Halo watch.
The watch face sports an olive green and black base combined with vivid orange accents. It’s 100% on brand, consistent with those trademark Halo colors we have seen from the franchise. Not to mention, it shares the same aesthetic as other gear in the SuperGroupies Halo Infinite collection. It nicely complements this Halo backpack we checked out last month.
The main dials design is a ‘tip of the hat’ to the Master Chief’s iconic armor. It mimics the roughness of the big guy’s armor and even has his Spartan number “117” printed in white at the 3 o’clock location. The minute hand is modeled after a Halo ring, while the back of the watch is etched with the UNSC logo. It all makes for an elegant watch fans will love.
In fact, everything about the watch is specifically designed with hardcore fans in mind but it’s done in a subtle way. I should also mention it comes in an exclusive watch box featuring Halo Infinite’s official logo. It goes without saying, you won’t want to toss out this box.
It is truly a watch for all occasions. While wearing it at work or at a formal gathering, you won’t feel out of place at all. It doesn’t scream tacky video game watch. At all. It’s a sexy stylish watch that I proudly wore everywhere for the past couple of weeks.
There is no other way to put it, this Halo Infinite watch is sharp. At around $240.00 USD (at the time of writing), it’s a little on the pricey side as mechanically, there is nothing special about it. However, if you are looking for a groovy little watch that salutes the Xbox’s most iconic character, look no further. This Halo watch is as good as it gets.
