Darksiders makes its return in a whole new way, with a brand-new gameplay loop and the ability to play as different characters. In this top-down hack-and-slash iteration, players are free to go at it solo or in co-op mode. In our review, we noted that “Darksiders Genesis has a really solid base, is greatly entertaining, and is definitely worth its price tag.”
Star Ocean First Departure R

Star Ocean First Departure R is quite likely the best game ported from a PSP game originally ported from the Super Famicom. Joking aside, First Departure R brings the original Star Ocean title to contemporary consoles, where it had only been localized on the PSP previously. Fans of JRPGs as well as classic games are sure to have a field day with this one. In our review, we said that the game is “a must-play for JRPG fans, and gaming historians.”
Shovel Knight: King of Cards

Shovel Knight is the Kickstarted indie darling that keeps on giving, bringing its last promised update to Shovel Knight in the form of King of Cards. King of Cards puts players in the role of King Knight as he sets out to build his kingdom in an essentially completely new game. If you have played Shovel Knight before, you know what you’re getting into. In our review, we found that “Shovel Knight: King of Cards is the proverbial cherry on top of a massive sundae.”
