Shadowlands Pre-Patch Has Been Added to the WoW PTR
World of Warcraft fans will be able to try out the upcoming expansion’s pre-patch on the PTR server for the next couple of weeks. While some fans have been able to try out Shadowlands through recent beta testing, the pre-patch for Shadowlands doesn’t require any invitations and it’s available now on the public test realm. Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that the pre-patch is coming to the PTR several weeks before the release of Shadowlands. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth is available for PC and Mac right now and subscribers to the game can access the PTR client for free.
Blizzard broke down what content to expect from the Shadowlands pre-patch on the PTR, highlight core class updates, in-game navigation improvements, the new player experience, the limited-time scourge invasion, and character creation and character customization. The PTR got the pre-patch for Shadowlands yesterday and it is in its first week of the event. The pre-patch will enter week two in the PTR on August 13th. Gamers who log into the PTR will have to accept the quest “An Urgent Request” to play through week one. Week one is completed by finishing the quest “Advancing the Effort.”
World of Warcraft subscribers who are interested in the pre-patch for Shadowlands will need to go to their account management, then games and subscriptions. In the starter Editions & Public Test Regions section, they will have to select Create PTR Account to get started with the PTR. The scourge invasion includes several bosses from the Wrath of the Lich King expansion and the event mimics a previous scourge invasion that introduced the Lich King expansion.
