Watch Dogs Legion Won’t Be Another Boring Watch Dogs Game

Let’s Talk About Watch Dogs Legion

When the latest addition to the Watch Dogs series was teased, we weren’t quite sure what to expect going in. While the previous entries were okay, part 3 would definitely need to impress. Once Watch Dogs Legion was officially announced and we got to see some gameplay, we were shocked, impressed, and a little skeptical if Ubisoft could pull off such an impressive feat as being able to recruit and play as anyone you see. At E3 2019 we got to try it out for ourselves and we were genuinely surprised and pretty excited for this game to launch. Of course, if you want to know more about our impressions, you’ll want to watch the video below.

Watch Dogs Legion is set in a near-future London where ctOS – the surveillance network prevalent in the previous games – has now been employed by an aggressive government that is monitoring the population at large and invading their privacy. Rather than having a core protagonist to unite the people and fight against this invasion of privacy, Legion offers you the chance to recruit and play as literally any NPC you come across on the street. Each NPC will have their own voice work, motivations, and skill sets to help you accomplish your goals as you build a resistant force to try and stop ctOS once and for all. The game is promising a lot of never before seen features that – during our time with the game hands-on – seem to be in order and could actually be true, but it is still too early yet to tell if this mechanic will be relatable or become repetitive over time.
