Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Just Got Real
Due to fan demand, Infinity Ward will be keeping Realism Mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.Until now, the game mode has been one of many that rotate in and out of the game but Infinity Ward has officially decided to make it a permanent fixture of Modern Warfare multiplayer. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare co-design multiplayer director Joe Cecot recently took to his Twitter account to make the announcement, explaining that it will be added to the matchmaking filter options. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is currently available for PS4, Xbox One and PC, with Season 4 recently going live.
Joe Cecot recently confirmed on his Twitter account that realism will become a fixture in Modern Warfare multiplayer, stating “it is our intention to add it to the filter.” Cecot didn’t provide a specific day that it will be added to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare rotation but we can expect to see it in the multiplayer soon. Considering Joe Cecot is an important member of the Infinity Ward team, it seems like the mode will be added permanently soon.
Before the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Infinity Ward was so enthusiastic about the realism mode that gamers expected to see it as a permanent fixture in the online but they were surprised to see it rotate in and out of the multiplayer like some of the other game modes. Many gamers took to Twitter, Reddit and other online communities to announce their displeasure that Realism Mode wasn’t in the regular rotation and apparently Infinity Ward heard them because they’re keeping it in Modern Warfare moving forward.
