The Creative Director for E3 2020 Has Suddenly Dropped Out
The video game colletibles company iam8bit was on board to help plan E3 2020 and create fresh, new experiences for attendees but now they’ve dropped out of the event entirely. The company is known for working with a variety of brands to provide people with collectibles and game releases but they recently announced on the official iam8bit Twitter account that it’s decided to resign from its partnership. The Entertainment Software Association expected the partnership with iam8bit to create a unique show experience at E3 2020 but now they’ve lost the key partner months from the upcoming event. E3 2020 is currently planned to take place on June 9th until June 11th.
“It’s with mixed emotions that @iam8bit has decided to resign as Creative Directors of what was to be an evolutionary #E32020 floor experience,” said iam8bit. “We’ve produced hundreds of gaming + community events and it was a dream to be involved with E3. We wish the organizers the best of luck.” While this sudden change in direction for E3 2020 will affect the event, iam8bit also added that they have “every confidence with the parties involved with E3 and wish them the best of luck.”
“We can confirm that iam8bit is no longer part of the inter-agency group working on E3 2020,” said the ESA. “We greatly value their passion for the video game industry and the contributions they brought toward our vision for this year’s show. We have an innovative and experienced team in place including Endeavor’s creative agency 160over90, event innovators Mat+Lo and longtime E3 partners, GES, Dolaher Events and Double Forte; all collaborating to bring to life an exciting and authentic experience for fans, the media and the industry.”
