The Precinct Gets Major Update With Emergency Callouts, Drug Stash Raids, and More

New Features Await in The Precinct

UK-based publisher Kwalee and developer Fallen Tree Games have rolled out a fresh update for their neon-noir action sandbox title The Precinct, bringing a range of new features and gameplay improvements. The update is available now as a free download on PC through Steam and Epic Games Store. The console versions will receive it on March 24 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The highlight of the update is the introduction of new emergency response roles, expanding player responsibilities beyond traditional policing. Players can now step into the role of a paramedic, responding to emergencies across the city by driving an ambulance and assisting injured civilians. In addition, a new coroner role has arrived as well, allowing players to handle cases involving the deceased using a dedicated coroner vehicle.

To support these additions, West Island has been expanded with a newly introduced hospital and morgue. This creates more immersive scenarios tied to these roles. Players can also switch into paramedic or coroner outfits directly from their vehicles, making transitions between duties more seamless.

The update also introduces new gameplay enhancements, including collectible narcotic stashes that unlock at Police Officer Rank 7. Police AI has received improvements as well, with officers now capable of pulling suspects out of hiding. To round things out, the developers also added new ambulance-themed music tracks to both the base game and its downloadable content, enhancing the overall atmosphere.
