Ballistic.exe Drops Its First Steam Demo With Deep Weapon Customization

Show Off Your Shooting Skills in Ballistic.exe

Publisher Kwalee and developer Tic Tac Toe Digital have released the first-ever demo for Ballistic.exe, an upcoming shooting simulator that puts a heavy emphasis on realistic weapon mechanics and detailed ballistics. Players can download the demo now on Steam and get an early look at what the full game has to offer.

The demo features three firearms, more than 80 cartridges and attachments, and access to the early sections of the game’s first firing range. However, the full release promises a much larger arsenal, with dozens of weapons, over 200 cartridge types, and more than 1,000 attachments to experiment with.

Ballistic.exe presents its shooting simulation as a mysterious, declassified computer program. Players must complete a series of tests while uncovering the purpose behind the program’s increasingly unusual requests.

Realism sits at the heart of the experience. The game simulates how factors such as bullet weight, barrel length, wind, temperature, and humidity affect projectile performance. Weapon recoil also changes depending on how players handle their firearms, adding another layer to the simulation.

Customization offers plenty of room for experimentation. Players can modify their weapons with different stocks, barrels, sights, grips, triggers, and other components, each affecting balance and handling. The game also allows players to prepare magazines round by round, choosing ammunition to suit specific challenges.

Ballistic.exe uses a WASD-and-mouse control system that lets players manually handle firearms, operate safeties, and manipulate slides while managing their stance and breathing.

With its combination of intricate weapon mechanics, extensive customization, and bizarre challenges, Ballistic.exe looks like an intriguing option for players who enjoy realistic shooting simulations. The newly released demo offers a chance to test its unusual approach before the full game arrives.
