Unravel the Secrets in lily’s World XD
Psychological horror fans will soon have a new mystery to unravel, as UK publisher Kwalee and developer SonderingEmily have confirmed that lily’s world XD will launch for PC on September 17, 2026.
The game puts players in front of an old personal computer belonging to a teenage girl named Lily. At first, the experience feels like a nostalgic trip back to the early 2000s, with players browsing blog posts, reading old chat logs, organizing files, and even scrolling through awkward selfies. However, that sense of nostalgia quickly fades as disturbing secrets begin to emerge, including messages that appear to be written directly to the player.
The story follows Lily, an ordinary teenager struggling with friendship, loneliness, and body image while hiding a dark secret. As players dig deeper into her laptop, they’ll uncover hidden clues, decode mysterious messages, and reconnect with people from Lily’s past in an attempt to discover what happened to her. But the investigation comes with unexpected consequences, as an unknown force starts interfering with both Lily’s computer and your own.
Ahead of launch, players can already experience the opening chapter through the free Steam demo, which currently holds an impressive 99% positive user rating. The early preview has generated strong interest thanks to its unsettling atmosphere and unique storytelling approach.
One of the game’s standout features is its personal touch, with real teenage photos of developer SonderingEmily and her friends helping create an authentic look at early internet culture and the awkward realities of growing up online.
