Find Out Who Is Telling the Truth in Demon Bluff
Publisher offbrand games and developer UmiArt have announced that Demon Bluff, a single-player social deduction game, will launch on Steam in November 2026. The announcement came out during the Convergence Games Showcase, alongside a new trailer offering another look at the upcoming indie title. The developers have yet to confirm an exact release date.
Unlike traditional social deduction games that rely on multiplayer interactions, Demon Bluff challenges players to uncover the truth on their own. Players must examine clues provided by Villager cards to determine which characters are telling the truth and which are Demons hiding in disguise. Making the right choices will cleanse the village, but a single mistake can end the run and send players back to the beginning.
The game is being published by offbrand games, with popular roguelike streamer Northernlion helping fund development, test the game, and provide feedback and design suggestions. Northernlion is also working with offbrand games and Ludwig Ahgren to promote the title through streaming and social media content.
Demon Bluff has already attracted considerable attention ahead of launch. The game has reportedly amassed around 230,000 Steam wishlists, while nearly 300,000 players have participated in its playtest, averaging close to six hours of playtime. Its community has also grown to more than 8,800 Discord members, who are creating mods, designing custom cards, and sharing daily puzzles.
With its unusual single-player take on social deduction and a growing community behind it, Demon Bluff could be an interesting pick for fans of mystery and roguelike games. Players can expect more details, including the exact launch date, in the coming weeks.
