New WashingtonÂ
One of the best aspects of most cyberpunk dystopias is the mega metropolises that the protagonist often finds themselves in. Of course, a sci-fi adventure set in the 22nd century is almost guaranteed to have some of these exciting cityscapes. Lucky for gamers, they can get a new look at just such an environment. Today, Microids is excited to show off a new environment for their sci-fi/cyberpunk adventure game, Flashback 2. The new environment, New Washington, is the showcase of a trailer that gives players a better look at the game itself. Of course, a press release also provides more details on the game itself.Â
Flashback 2 reintroduces players to Conrad B. Hart. This time Hart finds himself on a mission to locate his friend Ian. However, the Solar System is currently suffering under the invasion of an alien species known as the Morph. Importantly, players will battle the Morph across different environments in a 3D platform shooter alongside his trusty AI-Powered weapon A.I.S.H.A. Additionally, players will be able to explore several of these environments that reflect the state of the 22nd century including New Tokyo, The Jungles of Titan, and of course, New Washington.Â
Of course, players can get a good look at New Washington itself in a new trailer that showcases the map. Furthermore, the trailer shows off Flashback 2’s gameplay and art style. Check it out below.Â
Flashback 2 is releasing on November 16th, 2023. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch.Â
