Project Downfall Announces Nintendo Switch Release

The Downfall Comes to Switch

It’s almost time to take 80’s cyberpunk action to the Nintendo Switch. In a world where ruthlessness thrives, players will need to prove they are the baddest there is. Today, MGP Studios is excited to announce that their shooter-hybrid, Project Downfall, will be heading to Nintendo Switch. The game combines elements of non-linear storytelling and reflex-dependent action. A press release provides more details on the game and the Switch version. Additionally, a Switch teaser trailer gives players a quick glimpse of the game.

Project Downfall

Project Downfall introduces players to an 80’s themed cyberpunk world. Importantly, the choices players make in this world have a genuine impact on the story. The game follows a non-linear progression path that leads to multiple different endings and different playthroughs. Yet, the game isn’t all dialogue and choices. Players will also be met with hyper-intense violent action that relies on player aim and reflexes. Yet, the game also includes unique mechanics to make the gameplay even more of an experience. Interestingly,  the sanity system, the witness system, and branching endings each add a diverse experience that players can alter on each playthrough.

Of course, the game is coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in the future. For now, players can check out the short teaser trailer for a look at this version of the game. View the teaser below.

Project Downfall is out now on Steam. The game will be arriving on the Switch at a later date. Of course, more information will be available soon, so gamers should keep their eyes peeled.
