Modern Warfare 2 Digital Pre-Orders Have Early Campaign Access

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Launches a Week Before Full Game

Some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans will be able to get early access to its campaign a week before its full release. It has come to light that those who pre-order the game digitally will be given early campaign access.

Early campaign access will begin on October 20th. This is about a full week ahead of the game’s full release on October 28th. Fans who complete a digital pre-order will also get two days of early access to its upcoming beta.

Hefty pre-order incentives is nothing new to the CoD franchise. In fact, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s pre-order bonuses also include the Final Judgment bundle. This package contains a legendary Operator skin and an ultimately useful weapon blueprint for both Vanguard and Warzone.

Its much pricier Vault Edition also has its own set of bonuses. The most notable one is probably a variety of extra playable Operators and outfits that are going to be available during the open beta. It is also worth noting that the Vault Edition’s battle pass and tier skips are standard bonuses. They are valid after the pre-order window is up.

The last time that fans got an in-depth look at Modern Warfare 2’s campaign was in June. The trailer showed off some of its iconic characters and fancy water tech. Devs promised that the campaign will be a mix of stealth and action that chronicles the missions of Task Force 141.

Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer feature will also co-star in the Call of Duty Next reveal event that is due to happen next month. According to Activision, there will be a “massive intel drop” for the multi-hour event. The said event will reportedly include some key details on what titles the franchise’s fans can expect this year. After all, devs are promising a much broader “imminent future” for the franchise.
