Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 World Trailer Is Out Now
Activision just premiered the world reveal trailer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. The preview gives fans a glimpse at the game’s campaign and characters. It also included some quick snippets of its gameplay.
The video shows a player hanging upside down while shooting a pistol in signature Call of Duty fashion. It would seem that previous reports of the campaign being set in Colombia were spot on. Furthermore, long-time fans of the franchise will see some familiar faces that they have encountered in the 2009 original.
The reboot series brings back Soap MacTavish from CoD 4 with Captain Price after the former was killed in the old game. Ghost is also back for this alternate time line. Ghost was the character wearing a skull mask in the original game. He quickly became a fan-favorite.
The tagline caught the eyes of many Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 fans. “The ultimate weapon is team,” the tagline read. The way Activision worded the phrase seems a bit awkward. Many players think “teamwork” would have suited the tagline more. With that said, many fans have started to speculate that “team” could be be a reference to an acronym of some sort. However, it could also just be a typo. After all, Apple did get away with “think different” for a few years.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is due for launch on October 28th. The game may have pretty similar title to that of the original, but sources say it will tell a new story. Moreover, for the first time in so many years, the game is coming to Steam. Its base price will be at $70. This price somehow indicates a new standard that has primarily been taking hold on consoles until now.
