Monster Hunter Rise: Subreak Shines On Switch Today

Attention hunters, prepare to enter a brand new frontier. Time to get the adrenaline pumping. Today Capcom is happy to announce that the expansion for their acclaimed game, Monster Hunter Rise, is out now for Nintendo Switch. The expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak builds on already established aspects of the main game but takes players to a new setting. A press release provides more info on the expansion. Additionally, players can re-watch the Three-Lords trailer from earlier this year to hype themselves to play. 

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak introduces players to the port of Elgado Outpost. Of course, this new land includes new horrors for the hunters to face. This includes known as the Three Lords, the elemental  Garangolm, the vampiric Elder Dragon Malzeno, and Fanged Wyvern Lunagaron. Additionally, other new monsters will also make an appearance. 

Of course, taking on new threats means new ways to fight. Sunbreak introduces hunters to new Silkbind skills as well as the new Switch Skill Swap ability. This allows hunters to switch skill loud outs on the fly during a hunt. In addition to new skills, players can also look forward to new follower quests. These quests will allow players to bond with Monster Hunter Rise’s cast of characters. As well, players will also earn exclusive rewards for completing follower quests. 

Players looking to reacquaint themselves with the Three Lords can watch the trailer from earlier this year. 

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is available today on Nintendo Switch. It brings a great deal with it that players can look forward to. So, are you ready to hunt some monsters?
